Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Wigan
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: Immediate and September starts available
Salary: Up to £100 per day.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide vital classroom support across various subjects, helping pupils achieve their potential. You will be working closely with teachers and SEN teams to support individuals and small groups, gaining hands-on classroom experience in a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teaching staff in delivering engaging lessons

• Work with students 1:1 and in small groups, including those with additional needs

• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment

• Assist with administrative tasks and lesson preparation

• Contribute to extracurricular and enrichment activities

Ideal Candidate:

• A graduate (any discipline – education, psychology, English, science, etc. welcomed)

• A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education

• Confident, proactive, and enthusiastic

• Some prior experience working with children or young people (e.g., voluntary, tutoring, coaching) is desirable
