It is essential that the successful graduate teaching assistants have worked with young people, either in a youth work, educational or support capacity and are willing to partake in training courses to further learning and development.

Confidence and flexibility are a necessity as the role is varied in terms of responsibilities. This position will incorporate in class support, 1:1 interventions within the core subjects, and lesson cover when applicable. A key aspect of this post will be to ensure all pupils are working to their expected level and following the positive behaviour policies.

The school has recently been refurbished through the Salford Schools programme, resulting in state of the art teaching and learning facilities to promote inclusive lessons to cater for the needs of all pupils. There are currently over 800 pupils on roll, and a significant proportion of these pupils require additional support during lesson times.

Located in Salford, the school can be accessed via the A580 and A6 towards Pendleton. For non drivers, there are public transportation links from central Manchester, Trafford and Bury that lead directly to the school.
