Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Lancaster | Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Competitive Daily Rate
Start Date: September 2025
Are you a recent graduate looking to gain valuable, hands-on experience in a primary school setting? Are you considering a future in teaching or education?
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Lancaster, seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 starting in September 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers to gain first-hand classroom experience before pursuing teacher training, with support and guidance every step of the way.
The Role:

Supporting teaching and learning across the school, working with pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
-
Assisting with the delivery of engaging lessons under the guidance of the class teacher
-
Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
-
Supporting pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum
The Ideal Candidate:

A graduate (in any subject) with a genuine interest in working with children
-
Passionate about education and helping young learners thrive
-
Confident, patient, and proactive
-
A team player with excellent communication skills
-
Experience with children (through tutoring, volunteering, mentoring, etc.) is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
