About the Role:
We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide PPA cover across the school, from Early Years to Year 6. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across different year groups and adapting their teaching style to meet the needs of all learners.

Location: Burnley
Salary: £14 - £14.50
Contract Type: Full-time
Start Date: Monday 1st September 2025
As our HLTA, you will:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons during teachers' PPA time across all primary key stages.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support pupil progress.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive, safe learning environment.
- Contribute to assessment, feedback, and the overall learning experience of pupils.
- Offer targeted support to individuals or small groups when required.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- HLTA qualified or has equivalent relevant experience.
- Confident in delivering lessons to whole classes across the primary phase.
- Flexible, well-organised, and enthusiastic about working with children of all ages.
- A strong communicator with excellent behaviour management skills.
- Passionate about supporting children's learning and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
