Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant
Job description
Are you passionate about early childhood education? Do you have the skills, warmth, and enthusiasm to help our youngest learners flourish? We are looking for a dedicated Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our nurturing and vibrant Early Years team.
Please note that to be considered for this role, you must have a Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
Location: Burnley
Contract Type: Full-time
Start Date: Monday 13th April 2026
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
About the Role
As a key member of our EYFS provision, you will play an essential role in creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment for children aged 3–5. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum
- Creating engaging, play-based learning opportunities
- Observing children’s development and contributing to assessments
- Supporting children with early communication, social, and emotional development
- Assisting with daily routines, including snack time, outdoor learning and continuous provision
- Building positive, caring relationships with children and families

- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent
- Have experience working with children in an EYFS setting
- Are creative, proactive, and passionate about early learning
- Can adapt activities to support children at different stages of development
- Communicate well with colleagues and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
