KS2 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive school community. Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, inclusive, and well-structured lessons.
• Work with individuals or small groups of pupils to support learning, progress, and wellbeing.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND, EAL, or behavioural needs.
• Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Help create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom times, such as lunch and break periods if required.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use initiative, work independently, and be an effective team member.
• A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning.

Desirable:

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Knowledge of current safeguarding practices.
• Confidence using educational resources and digital learning tools.
