KS2 Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Blackpool)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time (term time only)
Salary: Between £14.25 - £15.00 per hour (experience dependant)
A friendly and inclusive primary school in Blackpool is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team in September.
About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding role supporting teaching and learning across KS2. You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils in lessons and deliver targeted interventions in Maths and English for children who need additional support to reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils in the classroom to access learning and stay engaged
- Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions in Maths and English
- Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Help monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
- Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Support pupils’ social and emotional development
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be enthusiastic, patient and committed to supporting children’s learning
- Have good literacy and numeracy skills
- Be able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Have a flexible and proactive approach
- Experience working with children is beneficial, but not essential – full support and guidance will be provided

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
