Graduate Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a Secondary Academy in Bury who are currently looking for Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their team following the half term break. Due to an unexpected staffing change, our client Academy is in need of several teaching assistants to ensure all students are supported and the teachers have the correct support they need within the classroom.

This role will provide graduates with invaluable skills and experience necessary to become a successful teacher and will also support securing a position on an upcoming teacher training programme.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following application requirements:

• You must have a degree of any specialism and be considering a role in teaching.
• You must have some experience with children and young people or have skills that are transferrable to work within the education sector.
• You must be able to obtain two references from your most recent employers or University tutor and be able to apply for a Child Workforce Enhanced DBS Certificate.

• Full-time Teaching Assistant position.
• Earn up to GBP300 per week, dependent on your previous experience.
• Work as a Teaching Assistant and support pupils who require additional support due to learning difficulties and SEN.
• Work alongside other TA’s and members of the SEN department to ensure all children have the support they require.
• Support pupils across a range of subjects including English and Maths.
• Deliver focused interventions and monitor pupils’ progress, reporting this back to senior members of staff.

Our client Academy is based in Bury and is easily accessible from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester via the M60 and M62. Alternatively, our client Academy can be accessed via public transport from areas such as Bolton, Oldham and central Manchester.
