• Full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant position available - September 2019 start for 12 months.
• Working within specific curriculum areas, supporting identified pupils to succeed.
• Previous experience working with children and young people is essential for this position.
• Bury location, accessible via the M66 motorway.
• Weekly pay of up to £350 depending upon previous experience.

The incoming Graduate Teaching Assistant will work within their specialist subject area, supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons that are accessible to all students. The role of Graduate Teaching Assistant will also encompass working alongside identified pupils within class to promote positive behaviour management, and deliver targeted interventions as required. This role will provide invaluable experience prior to completing a teacher training programme in the future.

To be successful, it is essential that the incoming Graduate Teaching Assistant is confident and calm when providing support to identified pupils. The successful Graduate Teaching Assistant will be required to build positive relationships with students, lead by example and become a positive role model to all pupils. The successful applicants will hold a number of different responsibilities which include; supporting pupils who have moderate learning difficulties on a 1:1 basis, monitoring behaviour and attainment levels and supporting the class teacher when needed.

The school that wish to appoint for this position is located close to the Walshaw area of Bury and can be accessed easily from surrounding areas Bolton, Rochdale and central Manchester. If commuting via car then you will be just a short drive away from the M66 Motorway.
