Graduate teaching assistant opportunity available at a Bury based secondary school from September 2019.

Teaching Personnel are supporting this school to recruit a Graduate who is keen to pursue a career in secondary education and work within a secondary school as a teaching assistant.

This is full time temporary position on a one year basis, making it the ideal opportunity for any graduate looking to gain further experience prior to beginning a teacher training programme the following academic year.

• Full time graduate teaching assistant - September 2019 start
• 12 month position where you will gain all the necessary experience to support your teacher training application the following year
• Supporting the learning and development of pupils aged 11-16 in vital subjects such as Maths, English and Science
• High achieving secondary school located on the outskirts of Bury town centre
• Earn up to £1300 per month

This Bury based secondary school are looking to appoint a graduate teaching assistant who is able to support pupils in class within specified subjects (Maths, English and Science). Within this role you will be required to provide additional support to identified pupils who require additional assistance to reach their full potential.

As a graduate teaching assistant you will work closely with heads of department to deliver resources to assist pupils understanding of certain topic areas, particularly within Maths, English and Science. You will be required to work with a number of pupils ranging in ability, whereby you will deliver tuition sessions to pupils who aren't currently achieving their target grades. Both experienced teaching assistants and graduates looking to build upon their previous school based experience prior to applying for their PGCE are encouraged to apply for this role.

Located in Bury, the school is just a short drive from the M66 motorway. Access is straight forward to the surrounding areas and the public transport links make Manchester, Bolton, Salford and Rochdale easily accessible via the Metrolink tram and also a number of reliable bus routes.
