Graduate Teacher Intership

Job description

  • Are you a graduate looking to enhance and develop your skills in working with young people?
  • Do you see yourself becoming a teacher in the future?
  • Do you have limited school based experience, and require this in order to boost your teacher training application

If the answer is yes to these questions, then Teaching Personnel is keen to speak to you!

As part of our Graduate Teacher Internships, we are able to support recent graduates in achieving their goals both in the short and long term. We appreciate that the current situation may have prevented many graduates from gaining work within a school setting.

Our internships enable graduates to:

  • Shadow full time teaching staff, gaining an appreciation of the day to day demands of a secondary school environment.
  • Gain invaluable experience running a classroom – acting as a cover supervisor enables our graduates to take charge of a classroom, developing their overall confidence and ability as educators.
  • Work on a support basis – undertaking the role of a Teaching Assistant will give our graduates the chance to work with students with SEN, as well as a range of other health needs.
  • Gain an insight into the ways in which children retain information, as well as key factors such as examination preparation.

Pay will range between GBP275 and GBP350 per week based on experience.

The school is located in Tameside, which is easily reachable from Manchester City Centre.

For further information, please contact the Manchester East Secondary branch at Teaching Personnel.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
