Are you a recent graduate of Maths?

Are you looking for an opportunity to utilise your degree and inspire a future generation?

Teaching Personnel currently work with a multitude of core subject graduates to gain invaluable experience to aid their teaching applications. This can be to work directly in a school to complete a SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) or to move towards a final year of University and complete a PGCE in their subject specialism.

Graduates can secure work within secondary schools in multiple roles. Schools are encouraging of graduates to work within their establishments, bringing energy, passion and enthusiasm alongside providing their students with fantastic role models to which they can relate.

You could look to work part time as a tutor to provide intervention support to GCSE pupils, students who have difficulties accessing the curriculum, or pupil who are currently not in the classroom environment. Providing 1:1 tuition will allow you to access and teach the curriculum on a small scale before stepping in front of a whole class situation.

This will allow you to gain first hand experience in classroom management without having to plan the work before hand. This will put you ahead of other applicants who perhaps would have only had subject learning experience.

*Looking for a career within the education sector
