Position: Graduate – Future Teacher
Location: Wigan
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: September 2025 & immediate starts available
About the Role:
This is the perfect opportunity for graduates who are passionate about teaching and want to explore the profession before committing to a PGCE or teacher training course. You'll work in a supportive secondary school setting, assisting pupils, gaining classroom confidence, and learning directly from experienced educators.
What You’ll Do:

Work alongside teachers to deliver lessons and support learning
-
Provide 1:1 and group support to students, including those with additional needs
-
Develop behaviour management and lesson delivery skills
-
Gain exposure to curriculum planning and assessment processes
-
Get ongoing mentoring from experienced teachers and school leaders
Who We’re Looking For:

Recent graduates (any subject welcome – English, maths, science, humanities and more)

A strong interest in teaching as a career
-
Proactive, confident, and positive attitude
-
Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
