Job description

A well-regarded secondary school in Oldham is seeking confident, energetic graduates to join their team as Cover Supervisors from September 2025. Whether you're exploring teaching as a career or looking for a meaningful year of experience before further study, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain real classroom exposure and develop essential professional skills.

This school is known for its supportive staff culture and clear classroom routines, making it an ideal environment for those new to education. You'll be delivering pre-planned lessons to classes when teachers are absent, ensuring a calm and focused atmosphere for learning. Full training is provided.

This is more than just ‘cover’ – it’s a hands-on introduction to teaching.


What You’ll Do:

  • Lead lessons across different subjects using provided materials

  • Build confidence in managing pupil behaviour and keeping students on task

  • Act as a role model and consistent presence in the classroom

  • Receive training, feedback, and mentoring from experienced teachers

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in any subject (2:2 or above)

This role is offered full-time, term time only. Opportunities available for both short-term and full academic year placements.
