Job description

Are you looking to gain classroom experience in a caring, inclusive secondary school environment? This welcoming Oldham school is looking for a Cover Supervisor who can hit the ground running in September 2025.

The school has a fantastic community ethos, serving a diverse population and placing great emphasis on personal development, both for students and staff. You'll be supported by a close-knit team and receive structured CPD, making this a great stepping-stone into teaching or educational support roles.

The Role:

  • Delivering lessons from a set plan during teacher absence

  • Keeping students on task and promoting positive behaviour

  • Being a visible and approachable figure throughout the day

  • Supporting other classroom-based activities where required

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience working with young people in any capacity

  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills

  • Confidence to manage groups independently

  • A flexible and proactive approach

This is a long-term role, ideal for someone looking to make a real difference while developing their skills in education. If you're passionate about young people and education, we'd love to hear from you.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
