Job description

Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young people? This thriving secondary school in central Oldham is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join its team from September 2025.

This is a modern, well-resourced school that places high value on classroom consistency and student engagement. You'll be stepping into a well-structured environment with a strong behaviour policy and a highly supportive teaching team.

You don’t need to be a qualified teacher — but experience working with young people (in education, youth work, coaching, etc.) is essential. This is a brilliant opportunity for anyone considering a future in teaching or education.

About the Role:

  • Supervise pre-planned lessons during teacher absences across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Maintain a positive and focused learning environment in the classroom

  • Uphold school policies around behaviour and safeguarding

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff after cover sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
