Have you completed a Psychology or Counselling qualification?

Or

Do you have experience with social and emotional mental health?

We are looking for people with previous experience working with vulnerable people in all capacities who are dealing with Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH). Teaching Personnel work with a number of schools across Bristol, South Gloucestshire, Bath and North East Somerset who are in need of support staff to work 1:1 and in small group sessions with pupils who may have experienced trauma; have mental health problems and a variety of other needs.

The Role

Previous experience of this kind would be advantageous but the role is open to any teaching assistants/councillors/psychology graduates who would like to develop their knowledge. The roles we have available vary but they will all be to provide a unique and comfortable learning environment for the individual.

The Desirable Candidate

  • Can offer previous experience with mental health in a supporting capacity
  • A knowledge or understanding of SEN/SEMH
  • A confident approach to working with children
  • An educational background
  • An enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally
  • An enhanced DBS Teaching Personnel can assist with this.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
