Rate: £120 - £215 per day.

Job Description

  • Are you an Geography teacher due to be available from September, looking for a long term teaching position teaching KS3/KS4 at a 'Good' graded Catholic school?
  • Are you well located to access a secondary school in the Enfield, North London area?

Our Catholic client secondary school is looking to recruit an Geography teacher for an upcoming open teaching vacancy for September 2019. It is with great regret that a permanent member of the humanities team is having to leave their post due to personal circumstances. They have given the school plenty of notice with regards their pending departure, however the school have struggled to find the perfect candidate for the role - which could be YOU!

The successful Geography teacher would therefore be required on a full time basis to fulfil this open vacancy teaching on a supply basis until next summer with the view to securing a school based contract if applicable.

The successful Geography teacher will be teaching KS3 and KS4 and must have experience of teaching at the higher GCSE level.

Highlights Of This Teaching Position

  • Full time Geography teacher required, starting on Monday 2nd September.
  • Pay will be dependent upon payscale but between £23,720 - £39406 (older payscales used as reference MPS1 - UPS3)
  • Teach within a highly supportive humanities department, gaining the opportunity to network and work alongside a committed team of professionals
  • Opportunity to progress and secure a school based contract following working on a supply basis

The Enfield based Catholic school has an ethos of honesty, pride and student centred teaching which is at the heart of all teaching and student's learning. The Catholic school is therefore looking for a teacher who is an excellent classroom practitioner and puts the students' learning at the centre of all their teaching. Innovative and engaging lessons are the key to success at this school with the Geography department having the latest technology at the disposal of the successful teacher. The classroom is made up of whiteboards in all classrooms and numerous computing classrooms with a full suite of computers and smartboards to aid learning.

The school is situated in the North of London, in the borough of Enfield, easily accessible via the tube and train - parking facilities are also available. For those teachers on public transport, the school has excellent transport links with the station being nearby as well as many regular buses running from central London. The school also has a large on site car park for the use of all teachers.
