Full time Geography Teacher required in September for Ofsted graded 'Good' school
Ofsted graded 'Good' school seek a Geography Teacher to join the Humanities department in September to join the school for the entire academic year, with the opportunity of a permanent contract. The incoming Geography Teacher will be required to teach both KS3 and GCSE Geography to mixed ability groups and will uphold full departmental responsibilities of planning and marking. Due to the Humanities being a very dynamic department within this school, the successful Geography Teacher may also be required to uptake a small time table of general Humanities, around their Geography timetable.
The Head Teacher has opened this vacancy to both experienced Geography Teachers and Newly Qualified Geography Teachers with the main focus being that the incoming teacher shares the same ethos and values of the school and is able to inspire the pupils at this very important point of their life. Newly Qualified Geography Teachers can benefit from being enrolled onto a bespoke NQT induction that will offer them guidance to become an outstanding teacher whilst more experienced Geography Teachers will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities, such as that of Key Stage Coordinator or Pastoral Lead (with your pay being reflected in this).
The Humanities department is very successful within the school and the Head of Department has put excellent steps in place which has resulted in Geography being one of the top picks for GCSE students making their choices for their exams. With excellent support in place the incoming Geography Teacher can rest assured that every provision will be put in place to ensure they are successful and progress within the school, whether this is an experienced Geography Teacher seeking a new challenge, or a Newly Qualified Geography Teacher seeking an introduction to an Ofsted graded 'Good' school.
For further information contact the Manchester Secondary branch of Teaching Personnel or simply apply to this advert with an up to date copy of your CV and a cover letter outlining all of your experience as a Geography Teacher.
