Job description

This opportunity is ideal for a teacher seeking a new challenge within the Geography department of a secondary school.

  • Full-time Geography teacher.
  • Required to start ASAP
  • Teaching across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
  • Paid to teaching scale point (£30,000 - £46,525)

Our client secondary school is based near Bolton and can be accessed via the M62, A580 and M66 from surrounding areas including Bury, Salford and Wigan. For candidates who do not drive, the school can also be easily accessed via public transport from the neighbouring areas such as Horwich, Rivington and Kearsley. 

The school has around 900 pupils on roll and has recently been refurbished with modern facilities and technology in every classroom. The school has also recently implemented a new behaviour policy.

The incoming teacher will be expected to plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated Geography lessons to meet the needs of pupils at varying levels of learning ability. The successful candidate will be given full planning and marking responsibilities alongside teaching a full timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience teaching Geography up to GCSE level alongside a teaching qualification and QTS in a Humanities subject.
