Job description

A ‘Good’ Ofsted graded secondary school in Wigan are currently seeking to appoint a teacher of Humanities on full-time basis from Sep 2024

With a member of staff currently on long term sick the school require an additional member of staff who is able to provide teaching cover within the schools Humanities department.

  • Humanities Teacher – Full time position
  • Must be able to teach all areas of Humanities to KS3
  • Must be available full time from September 2024
  • Beneficial if able to teach a number of subject areas at GCSE level
  • Payment in line with MPS/UPS standards

This teaching position will require the incoming teacher to have a flexible approach to teaching as they will be required to teach their specialist subject whilst also providing cover to other areas within the schools Humanities department. To be considered for this role it is essential that the incoming teacher is able to teach in an engaging manner in order to create enthusiasm within the lesson and bolster the results from students within class.

The school are open to applications from teachers of all experience levels as complete support will be provided throughout from senior leaders and the Head of Humanities.

This school is located in Standish which is easily accessible from Ashton-in-Makerfield, Leigh and Orell.
