This post is suitable for any recent Geography graduate looking to begin a career in education as a teaching assistant.

Our client school is a large, established secondary school situated in Oldham, bordering Rochdale. The school is well regarded in the local community and heavily oversubscribed year on year as the school of choice for a large majority of parents in the local community. The school was recently designated as a centre of excellence recently. The effective leadership and management at the school have contributed to continued success and excellent results across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
The ideal applicant will be a Geography graduate looking to begin a career in education, and gaining the necessary experience working at our client school will enhance teacher training applications. Those with previous experience working as a teaching assistant in a secondary setting will be highly desirable, though school experience isn't a necessity to apply.
The incoming Geography graduate teaching assistant will benefit from the schools comprehensive NQT scheme which will be tailored to the Geography graduate to ensure suitable and relevant training will be in place. This is an excellent opportunity to gain the necessary skillset and insight before starting a PGCE or similar in 2018.
