Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? Do you want to make a real difference in a welcoming, inclusive school environment? We’re looking for a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school in Bootle!

This is a fantastic opportunity to provide general classroom support across KS2 and work closely with our Special Educational Needs (SEN) unit, helping every child reach their full potential.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities across KS2.
• Individual & Group Support: Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to reinforce learning and boost confidence.
• SEN Support: Provide tailored assistance to pupils with additional needs, ensuring inclusion and progress.
• Resource Preparation: Help prepare learning materials and classroom resources to support teaching.
• Behaviour & Wellbeing: Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing, following school policies and safeguarding guidelines.
• Assessment & Feedback: Support teachers in monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback where appropriate.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to create a nurturing learning environment.

Requirements:

✔ Experience working with children (KS2 preferred)
✔ Understanding of SEN support and inclusive practices
✔ A positive, proactive attitude and strong communication skills
✔ Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
