General Teaching Assistant

Location: Norris Green, Liverpool
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full Time

Salary: £13.75 to £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a vibrant primary school in Norris Green. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a committed team and make a real difference in the lives of young learners.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 depending on experience and school needs.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs.
  • Help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Willing to complete additional CPDs
  • Is patient, proactive, and passionate about supporting children’s learning.
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is adaptable and able to work collaboratively with staff and pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
