General Cover Teaching Assistant

TA with Autism experience required in South Harrow school

• £60 per day depending on experience
• School provide a Teach First programme/ Schools direct

Teaching Personnel are recruiting two excellent learning support assistants to support pupils with Autism, on the behalf of an Ofsted rated "Good" Primary School located in South Harrow.

The School

This is a multi-cultural, three-form entry school with over 40 different languages spoken. The school has a fantastic new building with a range of excellent facilities such as: an indoor heated swimming pool, large play ground, soft play room, physiotherapy rooms and a large hall with a stage and sound and lighting system.

This role entails:

*1:1 support to a pupil in reception who is displaying signs of autism

*Ensuring that the pupil is able to keep up with set activities

*Monitoring the pupils progress and liaising with the SENCO

The ideal candidate:

*At least 3 months experience supporting pupils with Autism

*Charismatic, friendly and patient

*Sound knowledge of Phonics

*Able to work as part of a team

*A valid DBS that is registered on the update service or willing to complete an application
