✨Teaching Assistant Required✨

Carmarthenshire

£14.25 per hour ⏰ Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 3:30pm | Term Time Only

A welcoming and supportive secondary school in Carmarthenshire is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

✅ Support pupils with their learning and development throughout the school day

✅ Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging lessons and activities

✅ Provide support on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings

✅ Assist pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) where required

✅ Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and wellbeing

✅ Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

✅ Support children to reach their full academic and social potential

✅ Essential Requirements

Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C / Grade 4 or above, including:

• English Language

• Mathematics

Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), or willing to register

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A genuine passion for supporting children and young people

Reliable, proactive and adaptable approach to work

⭐ Desirable Qualifications & Experience

Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning Qualification

CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification

Degree in Education, Psychology, Childhood Studies or a related subject

Previous experience within schools, nurseries, childcare settings, youth work, coaching or support roles

Experience supporting pupils with ALN, ASD, ADHD or behavioural needs

Team Teach or other behaviour management training

Safeguarding training

Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
