Locations: Swansea & Carmarthenshire
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Monday - Friday ONLY (No evenings or weekends!)
Competitive daily rates of pay


‍ The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom. You'll work alongside experienced teachers to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

✅ Supporting pupils with their learning and development
✅ Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery
✅ Providing 1:1 and small group support
✅ Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
✅ Supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) where required
✅ Helping to create a safe and nurturing classroom environment


Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

✔️ A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C/Grade 4 or above, including English and Maths
✔️ An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
✔️ Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), or willingness to register before starting work
✔️ A genuine passion for working with children and young people
✔️ Strong communication and interpersonal skills


⭐ Desirable Qualifications & Experience

While not essential, the following would be advantageous:

Cache Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning
Teaching Assistant Qualification
Childcare or Education-related Qualification
Degree in Education, Psychology, Childhood Studies, or a related field
Experience working with children in schools, nurseries, sports coaching, youth work, care settings, or mentoring roles
Experience supporting pupils with ALN, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or behavioural needs
First Aid Qualification
