Salary: 140-200 per day

We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient and committed SEND Teacher to join a supportive school setting in the NN2 area of Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about providing high-quality, personalised education and helping pupils with additional needs achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a SEND Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.

• Support pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, communication and interaction needs, SEMH and complex learning needs.

• Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.

• Set and monitor individual learning targets and contribute to EHCP outcomes.

• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, families and other professionals.

• Promote positive behaviour, independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing.

• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

• Contribute positively to the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds QTS/QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has experience teaching pupils with SEND, or a strong interest in developing their SEND teaching experience.

• Has excellent classroom and behaviour-management skills.

• Can differentiate learning effectively to meet individual needs.

• Is patient, resilient, adaptable and nurturing.

• Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Is committed to inclusive, pupil-centred education.

• Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
