SEND Teachers Required

Contract: Full-time

Salary: M1-M6

Travel: must have access to a vehicle

We are seeking passionate, resilient and adaptable SEN Teachers to support schools and specialist provisions across Northamptonshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced teachers who are committed to making a positive difference to the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role

  • Full-time teaching opportunities
  • Teaching and supporting pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs
  • Creating a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
  • Building positive relationships and supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Working across schools and provisions throughout Northamptonshire, so a willingness to travel is essential

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS, QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Has experience working with pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs
  • Has experience teaching or supporting learners across KS3 and KS4
  • Is confident managing challenging behaviour using positive and trauma-informed approaches
  • Is resilient, compassionate and adaptable
  • Is willing and able to travel across Northamptonshire
  • Holds a valid enhanced DBS or is willing to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
