Future Teachers Programme

Are you a recent Graduate looking for your first role?

Are you hoping to secure a position on a teacher training programme?

Teaching Personnel and its client schools in Bolton have developed a 'Future Teachers' Programme specifically for graduates interested in teaching. The programme provides graduates with one year of paid experience in one of our client Secondary schools before continuing on to a teacher training course.

The 'Future Teachers Programme' commences in September 2019 on a full-time basis and will be guaranteed for the full academic year 2019/2020. This programme will provide graduates with invaluable skills and experience necessary to become a successful teacher and will also support securing a position on an upcoming teacher training programme.

  • Full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant positions on the 'Future Teachers Programme'.
  • Positions available for September 2019 guaranteed until the end of the academic year (2020).
  • Earn up to £1300 per month, depending on your previous experience.
  • Opportunity to work in one of our client Secondary schools located in
  • Graduates of all specialisms are welcome to apply for this position.
  • Full support and training will be provided.
  • Following the completion of the Future Teachers Programme, successful Graduates will be supported onto a teacher training course.

Candidates enrolled on to the 'Future Teachers' programme will be expected to take on the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Work with a small group of students in need of extra support in subjects such as English, Maths and Science.
  • Deliver pre-planned subject focused interventions whilst monitoring pupils' progress and reporting this back to Senior teachers.
  • Working alongside the class teacher to plan sessions and cover lessons alongside receiving training on what is involved to become a future teacher.

Application Requirements

To be accepted onto the Future Teachers Programme, you must have a degree of any specialism or be coming to the end of the final year of your degree. You must be able to obtain two references from your most recent employer or University tutor and be able to apply for a Child Workforce Enhanced DBS Certificate. Previous experience working with children and young people is desirable but not necessary as full training will be provided.
