FT Resistant Materials Teacher - Basingstoke Feb 2019

The school in Basingstoke is looking for a competent and passionate teacher of resistant materials to join them from Febuary half term.

The school are a friendly school with low behaviour issues, a strong community feel and a supportive senior leadership team. They are currently looking to employ a teacher of resistant materials or design technology to join them for the remainder of the year prior to the start of their contracted teacher, however there are likely to be opportunities within this school over the next few months.

This role is suitable for unqualified teachers and NQTs of resistant materials.

This role is from Febuary half term until the end of the academic year (July) in the first instance with pay between £125 and £150 a day dependant on experience and qualifications.

We are looking for a teacher who is inspirational and who is interested in supporting the school ethos, ensuring every pupil works hard to achieve the highest level of attainment and shows the highest level of respect and community spirit. The school have an excellent reputation locally being oversubscribed currently, the school have an engaged cohort of pupils with a high interest in learning, as such we would be looking for a teacher who is able to stretch and challenge the students and encourage them to preform to the highest of abilities.

The department has been managed by the same HoD for the past three years and a supportive structure will be in place to follow. The department have a staff room to develop schemes of work as well as create lesson plans and share resources. This well equipped department are friendly and welcoming, and have supported teachers in the past with development and improving their own pedagogy.
