French and Spanish Teacher

A mixed secondary school in the central Manchester area is looking for a MFL teacher who is able to teach French and Spanish. The focus is on French, with the timetable being weighted towards French at KS4 and Spanish at KS3. The successful MFL teacher should therefore be able to teach French at a higher level with the possibility to teach at A-level.

This teaching position is due to start at the beginning of October covering a long term absence for the duration of the first 2 terms of the academic year. The successful MFL teacher will be payrolled via Teaching Personnel on a supply basis in the first instance.

The school are specifically looking for a high quality MFL teacher who can engage with students of all abilities. Innovation and creative lessons are key so that students remain engaged and enjoy the subjects as choices for French (and Spanish) have typically been high. Applications are encouraged from both NQTs and those with more teaching experience.

Highlights of this French and Spanish teaching role:

  • Pay dependent upon experience and payscale - range between £23720 - £39406 equivalent
  • Work within an excellent and highly reputable secondary school in the Central Manchester area
  • Teach French up to KS4 (possible KS5) and Spanish up to KS3 on a full time basis
  • Full time MFL teaching position from October until Easter in the first instance
  • Opportunity for temporary/part time depending on the individual's availability and calibre
  • Outstanding secondary school situated in the Central Manchester area

The successful teacher of Modern Foreign Languages will benefit from a highly supportive MFL department and Senior Leadership Team. The school is an outstanding school in the Manchester area.

The school is a relatively large secondary school with approximately 1000 students on roll. The school is located in the Central Manchester area, easily accessible from the surrounding area as well as those teachers living in the Greater Manchester area. The school is easily accessible via public transport with local trams and buses servicing the school well.
