Date posted : 23/03/18
£100 - £130 per annum

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Supply Teachers are in high demand all over the Pendle area, particularly this term- THE BUSIEST TERM OF THE YEAR! We offer guaranteed work scheme to ensure all candidates are able to access work throughout the term. The scheme offers flexibility for supply and gives security of guaranteed income.

Last year, Teaching Personnel Preston Primary took a record number of short term bookings covering a range of needs, these included; Sickness, paternity, PPA, release time and NQT time.

There isn't necessarily a teacher type we are looking for but the best supply teachers tend to be the ones who have strong behaviour management, good flexible availability and ones who have a good strong presence in the class room. Working on supply can be an excellent way to explore different schools and year groups across the Burnley, Nelson & Colne. As a supply teacher, you will be required to teach in EYFS, KS1 and KS2; however we will endeavour to match the right year group with your preference and experience. There is also the possibility that the short term supply work may well lead to further work in school, or even permanent work.

Teaching Personnel have a range of schools using their services for supply; these schools will vary from RI to OUTSTANDING and from multi-cultural to Community Schools and Independent Schools.

For more information on the guaranteed worker scheme at Teaching Personnel feel free to contact us. We are also looking to recruit teachers for short and long term roles in primary schools across the Pendle area.

· Full time or part time days

· Daily rate from £90 - £120

· Ideal for candidates looking for flexible working days or experience in different schools

· Guaranteed pay if we aren't able to provide you with work one day (terms and conditions apply)

About the Schools

· Easily accessible schools from the M65 and public transport links

· Assisting children with additional needs in the class room

· Roles across all year groups

· Fantastic way of gaining experience in a wide range of schools and environments

'I came here when I left my permanent teaching post. Genuinely, it was the best decision I have ever made. I didn't need to join another agency, whenever I wanted to work, I was out. The staff put the individual first and ensure that your needs are met. Thank you Steve, Howard and Chloe for being amazing. They found me my dream job and I am the happiest I've ever been.
Join this agency'.

'I have been with Teaching Personnel Preston for some years now - having previously tried other agencies. They have been outstanding - in my view this is the best agency. Their friendly support has been consistently impressive - with regular contact to see how I am doing. I have also found courses that they run for members very useful. I would recommend Teaching Personnel without hesitation'.

'I joined TP through a recommendation of a colleague and had a position immediately after joining. Howard and the Preston team are friendly, helpful and I would not hesitate in recommending them for support with teaching appointments. The enrolment process was quick and easy and I keep in contact with the team weekly to put in place work that suits me and my availability'.

If you would like any further information on joining Teaching Personnel or just simply want to call to discuss the booster role/assignments we currently have, please don't hesitate to get in touch on 01772 842154 or email

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
