Job Title: Experienced Teaching Assistant
Location: RCT (Rhondda Cynon Taf)
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting student development?
We are looking for a committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic primary school in RCT. You will work closely with passionate educators to support the learning and development of students, both in general classroom activities and through tailored 1-2-1 support for students with additional needs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners and contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that cater to a range of abilities.

  • Provide 1-2-1 support for students, ensuring that their individual learning needs are met with care and attention.

  • Assist in the planning and preparation of classroom activities, ensuring resources and materials are ready to enhance the learning experience.

  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and engaging classroom environment, encouraging students to be their best selves.

  • Help to manage classroom behavior and promote effective communication and positive interactions among students.

  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN), enabling them to reach their full potential.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Significant experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role, ideally within a primary school setting.

  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with children.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, staff, and parents alike.

  • A proactive team player with a positive attitude, willing to take on various classroom roles as needed.

  • A genuine passion for education and supporting students’ academic and personal growth.
