Job Vacancy: Full-Time Primary Teaching Assistant – Pontypridd

Location: Pontypridd
Hours: 08:00am – 15:15pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full Academic Year (with potential for extension)
Pay: £90-95 daily rate (term time only)

Are you passionate about working with children and making a real difference in the classroom? We are looking for a dedicated, proactive, and patient Teaching Assistants to join a friendly and supportive primary school in the Pontypridd area from September 2025.

‍ About the Role:

You’ll be working full-time, supporting pupils in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. The role involves assisting the class teacher, working with small groups, and occasionally providing 1:1 support—particularly for children with additional learning needs. Every day is different, so you’ll need to be adaptable, approachable, and ready to roll up your sleeves!

• Experience working with children is essential – this could be in a school, nursery, kids club, playscheme, or through personal/family experience.
• A calm, friendly, and firm approach – someone who sets clear boundaries while nurturing positive relationships.

• Someone who is genuinely committed to helping children thrive both academically and socially.

Qualifications:

• Childcare or education qualifications are not essential, but relevant experience is highly valued.
