A good graded mixed secondary school is looking for an English teacher to join their thriving English department to start in October as the new academic year has begun. This Tameside based secondary school has this English teaching opportunity as a result of a pending maternity leave for the 2019/2020 academic year. The school is a state of the art facility offering exceptional teaching to all pupils. As a result, the school is looking for a motivated teacher of English who is able to provide students with the education required to excel at English teaching a timetable split between Language and Literature.

Highlights of the English post:

  • Pay will be dependent upon experience and payscale: £23720 - £39406
  • Full time position starting October 2019 (1 month after the school starts back)
  • Applications from NQTs and experienced teachers encouraged

The school, most recently rated as 'Good' in its latest Ofsted inspection is one which exhibits a strong work ethic and students show great achievement. The school has high expectations of all staff and demands a high calibre teacher of English who is highly motivated. Senior Leadership has been noted and highlighted as strong and the school are looking to develop this further. The school also performed above the National average in last year's GCSE results. The school has a large percentage of pupils who use English as an additional language serving a diverse community of students.

The school is located in Tameside which is very easily accessible from the M67 motorway and has regular direct bus routes as well as a local train station a short walk away.
