English teacher required, full or part time, ASAP, Daventry

  • Full or part time position, with permanent position available for Sept 17 subject to performance
  • £120-£165 per day
  • A level teaching available subject to candidate experience

Teaching personnel are working on behalf of a secondary school in Daventry who are looking to recruit a teacher of English to start as soon as possible.

The school are fully staffed in the English department, but are looking for an English specialist on a full or part time basis, in order to provide their teachers with flexibility and time to deliver specialised Intervention to their key stage 3 and GCSE students to continue improving their GCSE results.

The School achieved 63% A*-C at GCSE last year, and was recently graded as Good by Ofsted. By over staffing in their English department, they would like to allow teachers dedicated time to work with small groups from year 7 through to year 11 to continue improving their English results. This would also allow the class sizes to be smaller.

The school are willing to offer the position to an NQT, English Graduate, or a fully qualified teacher, and will tailor the role to suit the candidate that is successful. If you are an experience English teacher, they can also offer you the opportunity to teach A level English.

The only requirement the school has specified, is that you must be passionate about your subject, and demonstrate an excellent ability to engage the students to achieve and exceed their potential.

You must have a valid child workforce dbs certificate which is registered on the update service.

To apply for this position, please forward a copy of your CV to sarah.call@teachingpersonnel.com or call Sarah on 01604 521222
