Teacher of KS3 & KS4 English – Islington

The School:

My client is a big secondary school in the Islington area. They need s full time English teacher from September, for the first term. The school places a very high value on a genuinely holistic education in which every individual student is given an opportunity to flourish and develop. Teaching Personnel prides itself on registering the most inspiring teachers. Therefore, you will need to be committed in planning high quality lessons in order to raise pupil’s attainment.

The Role:

The main aims of the English department are:

1. To encourage pupils to develop a lasting interest in language and literature

2. To help pupils achieve a technical competence in reading and writing.

3. To encourage reading for pleasure.

4. To help pupils develop, and learn to adapt, their written and spoken communication skills

5. To prepare pupils thoroughly for public examinations.

6. To make a contribution to a pupils overall cultural and personal development.
