Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large RC Secondary school in the Moston region of North Manchester. The school are currently seeking to appoint an English teacher to join their faculty in the new academic year (September 2018). This full time position will initially be offered on a temporary basis for one term, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position from January 2019.
- Full time English teacher required, September 2018 start
- Teaching across Key Stage Three and GCSE with departmental responsibilities of planning and marking
- Pay in line with teaching scale point (£22,917 - £38,633 per annum)
- Opportunity to gain a fixed post with the school following the Christmas period.

The newly refurbished department provides excellent resources to facilitate learning, with learning development areas and open learning spaces." - Head Teacher
In recent inspections, the English department has been praised for implementing successful strategies for raising attainment and ensuring inclusivity across the faculty. There will be expectations of the incoming teacher to complete full planning and marking responsibilities, and there will be opportunities for collaborative planning and marking within the department.
With currently 1,300 pupils on roll and the prospect of an increased intake in the new academic year, the RC Secondary school is significantly larger than the national average. There have been recent refurbishments at school creating larger classroom space and additional areas for team-teaching exercises.
