Full-time English teacher needed for January 2020.

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a large Secondary school in Bury, aiding them with the recruitment of an English Teacher for January 2020.

The incoming English teacher will be covering a maternity leave from January until December 2020 with the potential of being offered a permanent contract if successful within this post.

  • Full-time English teacher required.
  • Both newly qualified and experienced English teachers are welcome to apply for this position as all relevant induction support will be provided.
  • Opportunity to work in an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Secondary school in Bury.
  • Paid in line with experience/teaching scale point (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490 per annum).
  • Secondary school looking for ambitious staff to help improve overall student attainment

Our client Secondary school are looking to appoint an English teacher who is confident in teaching English across both key stages, can promote positive behaviour management and is comfortable taking on full teaching responsibility including planning and marking. To be considered for this position, you must have QTS or NQT status alongside a PGCE in Secondary English. Any experience teaching English across Key Stage 3 and at GCSE level is also desired alongside any other education based experience.

The school is situated within Bury and currently has approximately 800 pupils on roll. There are a number of provisions already in place to support all students at school alongside students who have learning or behavioural difficulties. The incoming teacher should be comfortable in teaching pupils who require additional support due to these difficulties. Our client school has been noted for their welcoming staff community and culture with strong support to provide staff with the most efficient teaching methods.

The school can be accessed via the M60 and A56 from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as Bolton, Prestwich and Whitefield. For non drivers, the school is easily accessible via public transport links from areas surrounding Manchester.
