Are you a qualified English teacher looking for a new opportunity from Easter?
Our client secondary in Oldham are looking to source a skilled English teacher to join them on a full time basis from Easter 19, and to take on a full time English teaching timetable.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful English department with a track record of delivering excellent results and a collaborative approach to ensure the whole cohort are supported in their studies.
- Full time position, April 2019 start date
- Ofsted Good secondary school situated in Oldham, bordering Rochdale
- Join school with above average Progress 8 score and in the top quartile of the LEA for Attainment Score
- English results for Grade 4 and above currently ahead of the national average
- Payment in line with experience point (MPS/UPS per annum)
Our client school is a well established secondary academy which was formed when two local schools merged to pool resources and ensure the students of the local community had the very best in provisions for learning. The school is housed in a modern setting with state of the art technology throughout to help enhance the learning experience of each student. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was judged to be Good across all areas with the standards of teaching and learning a major factor in recent success.
To be taken into consideration, applicants must hold QTS or a relevant teaching based qualification, along with previous experience teaching English across Key Stage 3 and GCSE groups. Though the overall behaviour of the students is good, the school still expect incoming applicants to be able to effectively manage a classroom and ensure focussed learning is taking place in each lesson.
