English teacher required to cover maternity leave from after May half-term break at Oldham secondary school.

Teaching Personnel are working alongside their partner secondary school in Oldham to recruit a qualified English teacher for an extended maternity leave starting at the end of this academic year. The position will continue into next academic year and is suitable for teachers of all levels of experience.

- Full time English teaching position available

- Modern facilities in state-of-the-art secondary setting

- Earn in line with your teaching scale point (£23,720 - £35,008 per annum)

- Position to expected to continue beyond Christmas 2019

- Situated a short distance from M60 ring road, linking school to surrounding areas

- Access to excellent training and development courses

Situated on the border of Oldham and Manchester, our client is a modern secondary academy with over 1500 students currently on roll. In recent years, the school moved to a purpose built setting with excellent facilities throughout, which has helped build a positive climate for learning in which students are keen to learn and achieve their potential. The Head has overseen a number of changes in staffing since their appointment and when Ofsted recently visited, they noted the schoolwide improvements in teaching standards which have paid dividends in students' progress and attainment.

"We're looking for a qualified English teacher to join us on a full time basis after the half term break and to take on a teaching timetable across Key Stage 3 for the remainder of this year, though the timetables and groups will change in the next academic year. We're comfortable supporting less experienced practitioners, including those who are newly qualified"

If you are an English teacher looking to secure yourself a position moving into next academic year and would like to be taken into consideration for this post, please contact Miles at Manchester Secondary or forward your details in response to this advert.
