English Teacher

Due to a departmental restructure within the English faculty, our partner Secondary school in Borehamwood require a full time English teacher from January 4^th, 2021. This position is initially temporary for one term but is likely to continue for the remainder of the academic year for the successful English teacher.

-                 Full time English teacher required

-                 Teaching across Key Stage 3 and GCSE with departmental responsibilities of planning and marking, with the opportunity for A Level teaching if desired

Our client school is an Independent Boys school who are recognised for academic excellence, with a curriculum designed to keep students involved, stimulated and eager to learn at all stages of their development. The grounds and buildings are outstanding with modern facilities, purpose-built for contemporary needs and requirements. 

In recent inspections, the English department has been praised for implementing successful strategies for raising attainment and ensuring inclusivity across the faculty. The successful English teacher will join a department of twelve teachers and have the opportunity to partake in weekly CPD sessions. There will be expectations of the incoming teacher to complete full planning and marking responsibilities, and there will be opportunities for collaborative planning and marking within the department.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
