Job description

Inspire the Next Generation as an English Tutor in Eastwood & Nottinghamshire

Are you passionate about English and ready to make a real difference in young people’s lives?

Teaching Personnel is looking for committed and enthusiastic English Tutors to support students in Eastwood and across Nottinghamshire, helping them achieve their academic potential through personalised tuition.

Whether you're an experienced tutor, a qualified teacher, or someone with a strong background in English, this is your opportunity to inspire, support, and guide students toward success.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering 1:1 or small group tuition sessions in English

  • Supporting students in reading, writing, grammar, and exam preparation

  • Adapting your teaching style to meet individual learning needs

  • Encouraging academic progress and boosting student confidence

  • Providing regular feedback to track and celebrate progress

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience teaching or tutoring English (Key Stage 2–4 or higher)

  • A teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, Cert Ed) is beneficial but not essential

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • A positive, encouraging attitude

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
