Job description

Become an English Tutor with Teaching Personnel

Do you have a passion for English and a desire to help students achieve their potential?
Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic English tutors to work with young learners in Worksop, providing tailored support in reading, writing, and communication skills.

Whether you’re a qualified teacher or an experienced tutor, this is your opportunity to make a real difference—one student at a time.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Delivering one-to-one or small group English tuition

  • Supporting students in areas such as reading comprehension, creative writing, grammar, and exam preparation

  • Adapting your teaching style to suit a variety of learning needs

  • Building student confidence and encouraging independent learning

  • Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback

We’re Looking For:

  • Experience teaching or tutoring English (Key Stages 2–4 or beyond)

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. QTS, PGCE, Cert Ed) is preferred

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service – or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
