Do you have a love for English and a desire to help young learners succeed?

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated English Tutors to support students in Carlton and surrounding areas in Nottinghamshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by helping students build their confidence and improve essential skills in reading, writing, and communication.

Whether you're a qualified teacher or an experienced tutor, you can make a difference — one learner at a time.


Your Role:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 or small-group English tuition

  • Support students with reading comprehension, grammar, creative writing, and exam preparation

  • Adapt lessons to suit individual learning styles and needs

  • Encourage independent learning and build student confidence

  • Track progress and deliver constructive, meaningful feedback


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience teaching or tutoring English (Key Stage 2–4 or higher)

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, Cert Ed) — preferred but not essential

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
