English Teacher/Teacher of English - Southall

A large mixed comprehensive Secondary school in Southall have an upcoming requirement within their English department for a teacher of English from September.

Due to a restructure within the faculty, the incoming English teacher will join the school on a full time temporary basis for a minimum of three terms. There is an opportunity to obtain a fixed term contract from 2018.

Job highlights:

- Full time position, teaching English across KS3 - KS5

- Pay in line with teaching scale point (£27,543 - £46,829 per annum)

- 11-18 mixed comprehensive school

- Public transportation links directly outside of the school gates

“Our English department require a teacher ahead of the new academic year. Experienced/newly qualified and overseas trained teachers are welcome to apply for this post, and there is the potential of a permanent position with ourselves from 2018. We have a strong ethos and respect for training and development of our staff” – Head of English

Our client Secondary school is located in Southall a short walk from the National Rail Station and has a bus stop just outside the school. This newly built school currently has more than 800 pupils on roll, and with the facilities in place, the incoming teacher of English will have the tools available to create dynamic and inclusive lessons.

The appointed teacher of English will be fully supported by the department, and will be expected to take on full departmental responsibilities.
