- Working across Year 6 helping to raise pupil attainment in both Maths and English in preparation for SATs.

This Bolton Roman Catholic school is working in partnership with Teaching Personnel to recruit a Maths and English Intervention Teacher. The role will involve working with identified groups of children in year 6 to develop their confidence and motivation for Maths and English to raise their attainment n the build up to SATs through intervention. The role will involve collaborating with the class teachers to plan group lessons and deliver and assess the children’s progress following the schools assessment scheme. The groups will all be a similar level from lower ability groups to the most able.

The Bolton school is looking to start the successful candidate in February. The school are looking for a confident and caring intervention teacher to support the year 6 pupils and develop their confidence in school. The one and a half form entry school is fast paced and very welcoming. The children are very well behaved due to a consistent and fair behaviour management policy and children are given the opportunity to take responsibility for their behaviour. The school has a strong Senior Leadership Team who looks to develop all their staff through Continued Professional Development.

They are ideally looking for teachers who have had experience in similar roles and with year 6 SATs.
