English Tutors – Beeston, Nottinghamshire

£25–£30 per hour | Flexible hours | 1:1 and small-group tuition

TP Tutors is seeking skilled and enthusiastic English Tutors to provide personalised tuition in Beeston and across the Nottinghamshire area. This role is ideal for teachers who want to support learners in building confidence and achieving success in English.

The Role

As an English Tutor, you will deliver tailored one-to-one and small-group lessons in students’ homes, schools, or community venues. Sessions may focus on literacy development, reading comprehension, creative and academic writing, or exam preparation, depending on the individual needs of each learner.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging English tuition from KS2 to KS4 (including GCSE)

  • Adapt lessons to meet diverse learning styles and abilities

  • Break down complex topics into manageable steps

  • Track progress and provide constructive feedback after sessions

  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection standards

Requirements

  • Strong subject knowledge of the English curriculum

  • Teaching or tutoring experience (SEND/SEMH experience desirable)

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable teaching style

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Current safeguarding training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
