TP Tutors is recruiting passionate and committed English Tutors to deliver high-quality, tailored tuition in Bilborough and the wider Nottingham area. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire learners and help them build the literacy skills they need to succeed.

About the Role

You will provide engaging English tuition outside the traditional classroom, working with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Lessons may focus on reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, or preparation for GCSE exams, depending on the learner’s needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised English tuition (KS2–KS4, including GCSE)

• Adapt sessions to meet different learning styles and abilities

• Break down challenging topics to build understanding and confidence

• Monitor learner progress and give constructive feedback

• Follow safeguarding and child protection policies

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum

• Previous teaching or tutoring experience (SEND/SEMH experience desirable)

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Patient, flexible, and empathetic approach

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Up-to-date safeguarding training
